This week on the Model Spotlight, we were lucky enough to talk to Cydney Makara, a bright, confident and beautiful model from the sunny state of Florida, US, who loves creating sensational content, enjoys surfing and also has a passion for business.
Cydney already boasts an impressive portfolio and her weeks are filled with shoots, studying and planning for her future. She recently joined OnlyFans and hasn't looked back, as she has been well received by fans and continues to grow in popularity... and it's easy to see why.

How did you get into modelling/what made you want to be a model?
I never necessarily wanted to be a model it just kind of happened for me, I was 14 when I was scouted by an agency director in Tampa and I was asked to do an audition, so I did and then I got a call back saying they would like me to come back in and they handed me a contract the rest is history.
You must be very confident to be a model, would you say you’re a naturally confident person?
I would say that I am a naturally confident person I think everyone has insecurities about themselves though however I choose to embrace mine, I think everyone should embrace their differences and own who they are, I don’t think beauty can be defined I think everyone has their own idea of what beauty is. Also with social media I think people tend to compare themselves to others and that’s how those insecurities start to form just be yourself!
What advice would you give someone who’s thinking about becoming a model?
The best advice I can give someone looking to become a model is to do your research. Research everything and don’t sign anything before you’ve done the research there are so many scams and predators out there just be careful.
You’re still very young but is there something you would have done differently when first starting out?
I think the only thing I would want to do differently is become homeschooled a lot earlier on, for me I started modeling when I was 14 so I was still in school and by the time I was a sophomore in high school I was missing so much school traveling for modeling work so it’s was a struggle trying to balance both it would’ve been less stressful for me if I could’ve done online school a lot sooner then I did.
What do you enjoy the most about what you do?
The thing I enjoy most is meeting new people and the amazing networking opportunities I get in the modeling industry, I’ve done some extremely influential people and have even ended up working with some of them which really helped my career, networking is so very important and you never know who your going to meet, everyone is so different.
What do you enjoy the least about it and have you had many negative experiences?
I think what I enjoy the least is early call times haha, for example at fashion week this year in New York I had a show pretty late it was at 9pm and then I had to attend the after parties so I end up being out late and then the next morning I have a shoot and the call time is 5am lol. As far as negative experiences I haven’t had very many personally other then shoots being unorganized or shows being unorganized I’ve been pretty lucky.
What is a normal day like for you? What’s your normal daily routine in a nutshell?
I get up usually around 7:30am every morning I usually check my phone, then get up and get ready have some breakfast, then I check my calendar and see what all I have planned for that day, I’ll check emails, answer dms, the normal business stuff and then if I have a shoot or anything I do that my days are really chill for the most part I probably do 2-4 shoots a week and then just managing all my social media’s and all of that is pretty much all I have to do throughout the week.
What made you decide to start an OnlyFans?
So this is a funny question I don’t think I’ve ever been asked lol, but I actually started it as a joke with my friend we both made them and mine really popped off so I just continued to manage it and my fans seem to really like it it’s a lot easier to interact with me on OnlyFans then on my normal social media’s like Instagram too which I think my fans really like and it’s super exclusive so nothing I post on OnlyFans ever gets shared anywhere else which I also think people really enjoy.
What to do enjoy doing in your spare time away from modelling?
Away from modeling I really enjoy surfing and being at the beach in the summer I live in Florida so it’s hot almost all year long, I really enjoy being outdoors, and being with friends, I don’t really get to see my friends much so when I do have time I make sure to spend time with them and catch up.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?/Do you have any long term goals?
My biggest goal is passive income, I don’t think limiting myself to just modeling is a smart long term plan, I have many investments short term and long term and I also own a digital marketing company called viral mojo, eventually I want to get some real estate investments and start growing my assets. Im 20 years old now so I’ll be 25 in 5 years which is still young but by the time im 30 I don’t want to have to work much I want to settle down and have my own family and focus my attention on that.
